Remo Salvadori: Continuo Infinito Presente

In our capacity as exhibition designers for the 2010 Olnick Spanu Art Program, we played a crucial role in bringing the captivating artwork, “Continuo Infinito Presente” (Continuous Infinite Present) by Remo Salvadori, to life. Our involvement went beyond conceptualization; we were actively engaged in the practical aspects of the exhibition, ensuring the seamless integration of the artist’s vision into the scenic landscape of the Olnick Spanu estate in Garrison, NY.

For this particular installation, which featured an enclosed ring of heavy metal cable encircling two oak trees, we undertook the task of identifying the appropriate materials and skilled workers. As part of our contribution, we located the specific type of metal and collaborated with skilled artisans capable of handling the thick steel wires essential for the creation of Salvadori’s envisioned masterpiece.

Our expertise extended to coordinating the intricate installation process, ensuring that every element of “Continuo Infinito Presente” was positioned with precision and care. The artwork, with its symbolic representation of the eternal circle—a form recognized by Pythagoras as upholding the Universe and embodying the continuous cycle of life— required meticulous attention to detail during both conceptualization and execution.
