Ignacio de Silóniz

Associate, Architectural Designer

Ignacio joined MQ Architecture in 2022, contributing to the final stages of the Robert Olnick Pavilion. Since then, he has played a prominent role across the studio’s residential, workplace, cultural, and exhibition projects. His work includes major brownstone and townhouse renovations, such as the Contemporary Carriage House, office projects including Magazzino’s headquarters, and the design and construction of exhibitions and art installations, including the Bush Terminal sculptures.

At MQ Architecture, Ignacio has developed a particular focus on projects connected to the art world, managing exhibition designs, installations, and residential projects for prominent artists.

Born in Spain, Ignacio graduated from ETSAM, the Polytechnic University of Madrid, in 2021. His master’s project, Un-Breaking Yard, received first prize in the industrial category of the 2021 Young Visionary Architecture Competition. His academic work was also published in Open City: Re-Thinking the Post-Industrial City by Almudena Ribot et al.
