Purpose

Founded in New York in 2012, MQ Architecture is an award-winning architectural practice, committed to pursuing design excellence in a collaborative ethos. Under the leadership of Miguel Quismondo, our design is heavily influenced by the knowledge and understanding of construction, materials, means, and methods available in each scenario. Quismondo coined the term the “architect builder” as a metaphor of our full involvement on an architectural project from inception to project delivery to craft purposeful spaces that transcend the ordinary, enhancing the human experience.

Our locally rooted but international team has a strong blend of humanistic and technical knowledge filtered through the classical Vitruvian relationship of Function, Form, and Firmness. Under those parameters, we aim to understand the distinctive conditions of any project (climate, surroundings, topography) and respond to the clients’ needs to find balance, beauty, and lasting architecture.

MQ Architecture’s innovative outlook comes from researching the market, understanding its products and services, working closely with contractors and workers while implementing them under a rigorous system and methodology. Our multifaceted expertise encompasses a broad array of projects, spanning museums, residential works, hospitality, and innovative collaborations with artists and art galleries. We seamlessly integrate architectural and interior design, navigate the complexities of permitting, and execute projects with meticulous construction management and quality control skills to create detail-rich results that resonate with collective satisfaction.
